Soybean Board Approves FY 2009 Budget

The board of directors of the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association met on July 25, 2008 in Raleigh to approve the fiscal year 2009 budget.  The board also approved annual funding for the World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) and for the Soy Leadership College sponsored by the American Soybean Association.

Association seeks applicants for ASA / DuPont Young Leader Program

The NCSPA, on behalf of the American Soybean Association (ASA) and Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business, is seeking applicants for the 2009 Young Leader Program. The Young Leader Program is recognized throughout agriculture for its longstanding tradition of identifying and cultivating the producer leaders who are shaping the U.S. soybean industry.

Court Denies Request to Halt Biodiesel Plant

The N.C. Court of Appeals turned down a request to stop a proposed biodiesel plant in Iredell County.
