Ohio Soybean Association President to Speak at Soybean Forum
01/25/2010Jeff Wuebker, President of the Ohio Soybean Association, will be the keynote speaker at the Soybean Producers Forum on Thursday, February 4 at the Southern Farm Show. Wuebker will discuss how Ohio soybean producers and animal agriculture producers worked together to support livestock and poultry production, including a successful ballot initiative in Ohio to create the Ohio Livestock Standards Care Board. The Board establishes standards governing the care and well-being of livestock and poultry in Ohio, an initiative approved by a majority of voters in the state’s November 2009 elections. more > |

Soybean Producers Forum Held at Southern Farm Show; Senator Swindell and State Reps. Wilkins, Stewart in Attendance
02/08/2010The North Carolina Soybean Producers Association held its first annual Soybean Producers Forum meeting at the Southern Farm Show in Raleigh, N.C. on Thursday, February 4, 2010. Jeff Wuebker, President of the Ohio Soybean Association, was the keynote speaker. Wuebker discussed how Ohio soybean producers and animal agriculture producers collaborated to support livestock and poultry production, including the support of a successful ballot initiative creating the Ohio Livestock Standards Care Board to govern the care and well-being of livestock and poultry. Dr. Tommy Carter, a noted research scientist and soybean breeder, also spoke at the event on the development of drought tolerant soybeans. more > |
