New NCSPA Exhibits at N.C. Agritourism Farms

The North Carolina Soybean Producers Association recently launched a new educational exhibit at three agritourism farms across the state through a grant funded by the soy checkoff. The exhibits will promote animal agriculture, as well as educate consumers about modern agriculture and soybeans.They are a perfect extension to the association's educational exhibit at Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh and a way to extend agricultural educational opportunities to kids in different parts of the state.The exhibits were installed during the first two weeks of May at Lazy O Farm in Johnston County, Hill Ridge Farms in Franklin County and Flint Rock Farms in Moore County. They feature:

• Educational panels about planting soybeans, how many bushels of soybeans animals in the U.S. consume and the importance of animal agriculture
• A game panel answering questions about why animals are raised in barns
• A guessing game about what modern farms look like
• Trivia about family farms
• Two photo opportunity panels where visitors can get their photo made as a farmer or farm animal
• 3D farm animals.
